Here Is The House

I did this Depeche Mode cover for a friend's compilation.  It was a bit of a struggle because I didn't want to just copy the original.  My version has a slight bossa nova feel, with CR78 drums, acoustic guitar/piano and some mono-synth runs.  Enjoy.

*like* Very nice. Love the bossa nova idea. It just makes it a bit more interesting without being wildly different. (than pop music In general, I mean. Im not familiar with the original) What did you use for the ring mod sounds? 2600?

Being a huge DM fan and knowing the original well I think you've put a nice spin on it Tony.

Thanks guys!

Scott, if memory serves, it was the Sequential Pro-1 making those ring-moddy sounds. It is my usual go to synth for sweeps and events.

Fantastic cover - love it a lot! This is not an easy choice + you dealt with the song very well - stripping it to the essentials, has a slight Nouvelle Vague-feeling to me. Thanks a lot for the download-possibility, much appreciated!
